About Tammika
Born at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut and raised until my teenage years in Hamden, Connecticut.

My love for numbers started at the young age of eight years old. I would get excited to reconcile my parents’ checking account on a monthly basis. Growing up I watched my mother excel in the banking world from Teller to Vice President. As a youngster this intrigued my interest in numbers even more. By the age of twelve I had my own checking account that I managed.

My professional career began in the hotel industry as a Night Auditor, within eight months I was promoted to Accounting Clerk in the Executive office, where I worked for eight years handling all aspects of accounting including spearheading the implementation of the Great Plains accounting software.

After working in the corporate setting I transitioned to the small business sector. With the title as Finance Manager, came overseeing all financial aspects for a 2-million-dollar small business. All the while, helping the company cut cost in expenses to dramatically affect the bottom line in a positive way.

Early on in my career I desired to be a Controller of a small business. The day came in 2012, where I became a Controller for a 11-million-dollar small business for four years. Not only did the position require management of all financial aspects for the business, the position also handled all human resources responsibilities.

Away from crunching numbers, I enjoy distance running, mentoring, traveling and reading.
